They absolutely WILL cause traction alopicia if clipped directly to your roots, especially if you have fine(diameter of each strand) or thin(quantity of strands on your head) hair. It is advised to do a braid down and net cap to protect scalp.

Care: Loc Extensions have already been washed twice, no need to do anything to them before install.
Loc Extensions will behave and mature like new, natural instant locs, and that’s all you need to know about maintaining these extensions. Treat them as your own hair. If you need more guidance, consult your personal loctician.
Detangling Ends: To refresh curly ends, while your hair is dry, dip your ends in water and conditioner. Gently detangle with fingers or comb to keep ends loose and curly. If you do not detangle, they will simply loc up naturally over time.
